According to estimates of Hungarian officials, some 2,000
refugees from Bosnia-Herzegovina, mostly Moslems, were in Hungary
at the moment living in refugee camps and only a small number were
living in private accommodation.
This is the reason why most of the polling stations will be
set up in local self-governments to which the camps belong.
The exact date of voting in Hungary has not been made public
yet.
The preparations for voting in Hungary are being carried out
under the supervision of the Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and with the help of Hungarian
authorities which took on most of the job of informing the Bosnian
refugees and financing the implementation of the elections.
According to Hungarian authorities' estimates, the
organization costs for the elections in Hungary would not exceed 6
million forints.
