BELGRADE, July 10 (Hina) - Two major Croatian and Serbian oil companies signed an agreement in Belgrade on Wednesday on the transport of crude oil from Omisalj on the northern Croatian Adriatic island of Krk to Serbian refineries at Pancevo and Novi Sad. The five-year agreement was signed by the director of the Croatian company "Jadranski Naftovod", Ante Cicin-Sain, and the director of the Serbian company "Jugopetrol", Dragan Tomic. Before signing the agreement, both parties stressed that it would encourage economic relations between the two countries. The signing ceremony was attended by Serbian Energy Minister Dragan Kostic and the head of the Croatian Office in Belgrade, Zvonimir Markovic. In brief statements to the press, Cicin-Sain and Tomic said that the agreement was a result of the Dayton peace agreement. (hina) vm 101920 MET jul 96
