ZAGREB, June 20 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and
members of the government delegation returned to Zagreb on
Thursday night from a two-day official visit to Turkey.
Tudjman told reporters at Zagreb airport that he was
satisfied with results of the visit, talks with Turkish President
Suleyman Demirel and bilateral agreements, particularly those
aimed at enhancing economic cooperation.
"I think we can be very pleased with the talks I had with
President Demirel as well as with the talks our delegation had
with the Turkish delegation," he said.
Tudjman assessed favourably the talks between Croatian
Defence Minister Gojko Susak and his Turkish counterpart.
"There are great opportunities for our companies, such as
(manufacturer of electrical appliances) Koncar and
(pharmaceutical company) Pliva, to win long-term business
contracts," the President said.
Tudjman described as interesting his visit to the ancient
city of Ephesus, which took place on the second day of his stay
in Turkey.
