MOSTAR, June 15 (Hina) - Herzeg-Bosnia's Presidential Council on
Saturday decided to "grant amnesty to persons who did not respond
to the general mobilization at the time of aggression on the
Croatian people and Bosnia-Herzegovina."
The Council said in a statement that criminal proceedings
already under way against draft dodgers would be suspended and
that new proceedings would not be instituted.
"The decision comes into force immediately and will
remain in force until legislation regulating this matter is
passed," it said.
At the instigation of the Croatian Democratic Union of
Bosnia-Herzegovina (HDZ B-H), the Council appointed Pero Markovic
prime minister of Herzeg-Bosnia.
The government would be made up of the following
ministers: Vladimir Soljic as defence minister, Ivan Vrankic as
interior minister, Frano Franic as finance minister, Barisa Colak
as justice and administration minister, Valentin Coric as
minister for social affairs, and Nikola Antunovic as economy
minister.
The appointments were yet to be confirmed by Herzeg-
Bosnia's lower house of parliament.
