government secretary, Bozo Misura, informed President Tudjman of the work on the "Rama Cross" monument, meant to testify to a century-long presence of Croats in the area. President Tudjman was also informed of the work on a road that will connect Rama with central Bosnia and Croatia, a statement from the President's Office said.

ZAGREB, June 6 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on
Thursday received a delegation of the Committee for the Erection of
the "Rama Cross" Monument. Prefect of the Rama municipality, Jerko
Pavlicevic, and Bosnian government secretary, Bozo Misura, informed
President Tudjman of the work on the "Rama Cross" monument, meant
to testify to a century-long presence of Croats in the area.
President Tudjman was also informed of the work on a road that will
connect Rama with central Bosnia and Croatia, a statement from the

President Tudjman congratulated the inhabitants of Rama on the
keeping of the Croat spirit and national conscience, pointing out
that now the Croats from Rama and other Croats must work on the
strengthening of the Federation, which was a guarantee of the
existence of the Croat people in Bosnia-Herzegovina and, through a
firm connection with Croatia, the only way into Europe.
Present to the talks were also the head of the President's
Office, Ivo Sanader, academician Ivan Aralica, advisors to the
President, Ivic Pasalic and Andjelko Mijatovic, and Major General
Mile Cuk, the statement concluded.
