ZAGREB, May 27 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Monday received ambassadors of the Contact Group member countries and Italy, the chairman of the European Union, who are accredited in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a statement from
the President's Office said.

The ambassadors had conveyed their remarks and expressed
concern because of the alleged ambiguous and inconclusiveness of
the Amnesty Act which had been adopted by the Croatian Parliament
on May 17, the statement said.
Tudjman said that Croatian was determined to contribute to the
success of the peaceful reintegration of the Croatian Danubian area
and that it would act in accordance with the Constitution and the
law.
The President had no constitutional jurisdiction do pass
amendments to acts adopted by the Parliament, and the government
and the Parliamentary Judiciary Committee are to explicitly explain
the act, Tudjman said.
