PRESIDENT'S OFFICE DENIES ALLEGED TUDJMAN-KARADZIC MEETING

ZAGREB, May 7 (Hina) - The Office of the Croatian President Franjo Tudjman on Tuesday strongly denied rumours published in several Bosnian-Herzegovinian papers under Bosniac-Muslim control on an alleged recent meeting between Croatian President Franjo Tudjman and Bosnian Serb leader Radovan Karadzic. President Tudjman and the Bosnian Serb representative Radovan Karadzic last met in December 1993, at the request of international representatives. Since similar rumours have appeared in the Slovene and other international papers, the Office regards it as an obvious attempt to discredit the Dayton peace agreements and accuse the Republic of Croatia and its president of discrediting the agreements, the statement said.
