Head of the Nustar municipality Nedjeljko Lovric said that all
that had been seen on photos so far was not the exact state of what
they had seen in Cerici on Tuesday.
There was not a house left intact, a displaced person from
Cerici, Tomislav Dakic, said.
"Everything is ground to dust. There is no school, no church,
no clinic, store, there is nothing left. It would be better to
reconstruct our village somewhere else and leave this for later
generations as a reminder," Dakic said.
Almost 1,800 people lived in Cerici before the war.
Some 30% of houses were destroyed in Marinci, and those that
remained whole were settled by Serbs. In Bogdanovci everything was
destroyed, just as in Cerici, the displaced persons said.
