WASHINGTON, May 13 (Hina) - Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
on Sunday arrived in the United States for a visit of several days.
Granic is to meet with his U.S. counterpart Warren Christopher
and other high officials of Clinton's Cabinet and the Congress.
Croatian Ambassador to the U.S., Miomir Zuzul said that
Granic's visit to the United States would contribute to the future
promotion of relations between the two countries.
"It is time to convert good, friendly relations to permanent
partnership relations," Zuzul said.
During his visit, Granic is expected to discuss continuing the
mission of the former U.S. Commerce Secretary Ron Brown, which had
been abruptly terminated after his death in airplane accident near
Dubrovnik in early April.
"They are planning a big mission of the American government
and business people to visit Croatia in early July," Zuzul said.
During his stay in Washington, Granic will participate n the
work of the Forum for the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina which is
to take place on May 14.
