Jarnjak and Klein then inspected the Bajakovo border crossing,
some 30 metres away from the border with Yugoslavia, where Croatian
customs and police will be situated.
They established that all was ready for the establishment of
the border crossing, and that all would be ready for the opening of
the Zagreb-Belgrade motorway on May 7.
Everything was ready for Tuesday, Klein said, thanking Jarnjak
for visiting the site.
"I can hardly wait for the traffic on this motorway to start,"
Klein added.
Thanking Klein, Jarnjak said that they had contacted police
officers from the other side of the border and were convinced that
everything was ready.
"The area around the border is still being cleared of mines.
We agreed with Klein to cooperate in the future so that everything
would go well as regards the traffic on the road," Jarnjak said.
Klein added that the opening of the motorway was the key to
bilateral cooperation, as would be the opening of the oil pipeline
and other roads.
