VINKOVCI, April 27 (Hina) - Members of the PanEuropean Alpe Adria Association - a task group for Croatia, Andreas Raab and Elke Lorenz from Germany, on Saturday visited Vinkovci to see the economic situation in the Vukovar County and
to estimate the risk of future German investments in the area. They were received by the deputy Vukovar County Prefect, Rudolf Koenig, a Croatian Parliament representative, Tihomir Zovak and the Mayor of Vinkovci, Zoran Tomic.
VINKOVCI, April 27 (Hina) - Members of the PanEuropean Alpe Adria
Association - a task group for Croatia, Andreas Raab and Elke
Lorenz from Germany, on Saturday visited Vinkovci to see the
economic situation in the Vukovar County and to estimate the risk
of future German investments in the area.
They were received by the deputy Vukovar County Prefect,
Rudolf Koenig, a Croatian Parliament representative, Tihomir Zovak
and the Mayor of Vinkovci, Zoran Tomic. #L#
Raab and Lorenz stressed that they were especially interested
in the Danube-Sava canal project, adding that they would like to
see the shape of the road network, gas stations, parking lots and
motels by highways, as well as the telecommunication network.
It was especially interesting to see the state of the border
area between Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Lorenz said. She
announced that they would visit Odzak and Orasje in the afternoon
to gather information for German business people who want to appear
on the Bosnian market.
Raab and Lorenz visited Nustar where they held talks with the
head of the municipality, Nedjeljko Lovric. They then left for
Bosanska Posavina.
