SARAJEVO, April 18 (Hina) - The NATO-led peace Implemenation Force
(IFOR) in Bosnia said on Thursday that military commanders of the
Bosnian parties would have to submit precise reports on the
withdrawal of troops and heavy weapons on Saturday.
IFOR spokesman Simon Haselock told a press conference in
Sarajevo that a deadline for the pullout would expire on Friday and
that compliance would be verified on Saturday.
Haselock said that all sides were trying hard to meet their
commitments but that there were certain difficulties in the
process, such as a lack of barracks for accommodation of about
150,000 troops of all the three parties in Bosnia.
IFOR troops continued monitoring the withdrawal of Bosnian
Federation and Serb forces and were authorized to seize all weapons
found outside approved zones. Six anti-aircraft guns and rocket
systems had been seized in southwest Bosnia on Wednesday.
IFOR engineers continued repair work on war-damaged bridges to
restore traffic on all major road routes.
