ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - The Head of the European Community Monitoring Mission (ECMM), Italian Ambassador Giorgio Franchetti Pardo, and his deputy, General Francesco Lovino, on Wednesday returned to Zagreb from a visit to the
Mission's regional centres for Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo and Zenica, a statement from the ECMM headquarters in Zagreb said.
ZAGREB, March 21 (Hina) - The Head of the European Community
Monitoring Mission (ECMM), Italian Ambassador Giorgio Franchetti
Pardo, and his deputy, General Francesco Lovino, on Wednesday
returned to Zagreb from a visit to the Mission's regional centres
for Bosnia-Herzegovina in Sarajevo and Zenica, a statement from the
ECMM headquarters in Zagreb said. #L#
During the visit, the regional centres' workers informed the
ECMM representatives about their work in the areas of Tuzla, Banja
Luka, Orasje, Brcko and Prijedor.
Pardo also met the mayors of Tuzla and Ilidza, the deputy
mayor of Banja Luka, the commander of the international police
force, Peter Fitzgerald, and the leaders of the Organization for
Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) regional centres in Tuzla
and Banja Luka.
"During the meetings, ECMM was praised for reliable
information it provided for various organizations, for an expert
knowledge of the area. OSCE was also praised for logistic support,"
the statement said.
