BOSNIAN CROATS READY FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF ARMS CONTROL AGREEMENT

MOSTAR, March 9 (Hina) - The Croat Defence Council (HVO) chief of staff, Major General Zivko Budimir, and the Hungarian ambassador to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Istvan Gyarmati, met in Mostar on Saturday for talks on the implementation of the Vienna agreement on arms control. Budimir told a press conference that the Bosnian Croats were prepared for the implementation of the Vienna agreement which envisages placing all heavy weapons and aircraft under OSCE control. OSCE had set up inspection teams to register the weaponry in the areas of Bosnia-Herzegovina under HVO, Bosnian army and Serb control. Gyarmati said that he had arrived in Mostar to dicuss the beginning of the work of OSCE inspecition teams. Asked if he expected any difficulties, Gyarmati said that he did not expect any political problems but that technical troubles were possible and that he hoped they would be overcome. Budimir also informed reporters about his visit to the United States where he and Bosnian army commander General Rasim Delic had agreed on cooperation between the US army and the Bosnian Federation army.
