MOSTAR, March 2 (Hina) - The Dutch Minister of Development, Jan Pronk, today arrived in Mostar, where he held talks with officials of the EU Administration of Mostar and with the Mayor of the western part of the city, Mijo Brajkovic.
'We have discussed the future cooperation between the European Union and Mostar, especially as regards the allocation of European money to Mostar', Pronk said after his meeting with Brajkovic. It was important that the money be used for the creation of new jobs, as well as for the reconstruction of houses and infrastructure. That would help create the atmosphere of stability in the city, Pronk added.

Pronk said that many small European companies would invest in
both the eastern and western parts of Mostar.
Western Mostar Mayor Brajkovic said that the talks focused on
the extension of the EU Administration mandate in the city as well
as on ways the European money would be invested within the extended
mandate. Large Mostar companies needed financial assistance, he
added.
