At a statement issued after today's session, the HDZ city
committee said they would not propose their candidates at election
unless breaches of the Federal Constitution and Dayton agreements
stopped.
"The agreed-upon principles on the transitional statute of the
city of Mostar, included in an annex of the agreement on the
strengthening of the Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina, oblige us
and all other signatories, and no one, particularly not the EU
Administration, has the right to interpret or breach them
arbitrarily ," the statement said.
"The rights guaranteed by the Constitution of the Federation
of Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Dayton accord to every individual and
to constituent nations, cannot be denied, as this has been done by
the Administrator Hans Koschnik on the ground of the EU decision,"
the HDZ statement said.
The HDZ city committee supported Croat representatives at the
advisory council at the EU Administration, who had decided not to
participate in the work of that body any longer.
