The committee described Luzavec's offer that wages be raised
by 7.3% until the end of the year as unacceptable. The unions
demanded a 100% raise in wages.
The negotiation committee of the two unions was ready to
continue negotiations if the Ministry of Maritime Affairs,
Transport and Communications and the Croatian Railways'
Directorate made a more acceptable offer concerning the raise in
wages, the statement said.
