CENTRAL BOSNIAN CROATS HOLD SYMPOSIUM ON WAR VICTIMS

NOVI TRAVNIK, Feb 10 (Hina) - Some 3,800 documents on war crimes committed on Croats from central Bosnia had already been sent to The Hague, said the participants at the symposium 'Suffering of Central Bosnian Croats in Homeland War' which was held in Novi Travnik on Saturday. The symposium was organised by the Travnik municipal leadership. It was estimated that more than 3,000 Croat civilians and soldiers had been killed, while more than 5,000 persons had been wounded in the Serb aggression and Bosnian army attacks. Material damage on Croat church and cultural objects was extensive, the participants said. 'So far, the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office for Central Bosnia has received and processed 56 charges of war crimes committed on central Bosnian Croats and 374 persons indicted for war crimes include the highest military and political Bosniac officials', Attorney General Marinko Jarcevic said. The symposium expressed surprise that the International War Crimes Tribunal in the Hague had not indicted a single instigator and perpetrator of war crimes on Croats in general, especially on Croats in central Bosnia, where the aggression of the Bosnian army units had been severest.
