Mayor of Sarajevo, Tarik Kupusovic, Tuesday announced the
Pope's visit after he had held talks with the Apostolic Nuncio to
Bosnia-Herzegovina, Msgr. Francesco Monterisi.
"We agreed this spring will be the right time for the Pope's
visit, when the transitional period will have been over and the
full authority of the Federation established in the area
concerned," Kupusovic said and added that the arrival of the Pope
should be organized before the next September elections.
Msgr. Monterisi asked today for help from Sarajevo authorities
to open as soon as possible the permanent diplomatic office of
Vatican in the Bosnian capital.
