ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - Only about ten percent of the housing facilities in Vukovar had survived the Serb shelling late in 1991, a branch office with the Croatian Ministry for Reconstruction and Development said. The Zagreb-based
office in charge for reconstruction of Vukovar said there had been 14,845 apartments in Vukovar all together before the war, out of which 10,142, or 68.34 percent, had suffered the highest level of destruction (levels 5 and 6). Another 3,120 apartments (21%) were estimated at the four succeeding lower levels of damage. Ten percent (1,583) of apartments were estimated as undamaged, the Ministry branch office told Hina on Wednesday.
