ZAGREB, Jan 31 (Hina) - Only ten percent of housing resources in Vukovar had not been destroyed in the Serbian aggression on the town, according to the Croatian Reconstruction and Development Ministry's Office for the Reconstruction
of the City of Vukovar, which is currently based in Zagreb.

Vukovar had not been destroyed in the Serbian aggression on the
town, according to the Croatian Reconstruction and Development
Ministry's Office for the Reconstruction of the City of Vukovar,
which is currently based in Zagreb. #L#
The city had 14,845 flats before the aggression in 1991. It
was estimated that 10,142 flats had the highest grade of
destruction (fifth and sixth grade), which is almost 68,34% of the
whole housing stock; 3120 flats (21%) had sustained damage
registered as four lower grades of destruction. It is supposed that
1,583 (10,66%) flats were not damaged, reporters of the Croatian
news agency Hina were told in the Office. The Office for the
Reconstruction of the City of Vukovar gained the information on the
basis of statements of Vukovar residents who remained in the city
until the last day and on the basis of video tapes, photos and
reports by the Vukovar municipal leadership.
