AUSTRIAN BANK GRANTS LOAN FOR TORIST SEASON PREPARATIONS

DUBROVNIK, Jan 30 (Hina) - An Austrian bank on Tuesday granted a 50 million German marks loan to Croatia, assigned for reconstruction and preparation of the 1996 tourist season. Officials with the Austria's Raiffeisenbank and Croatian Bank for Reconstruction signed a contract on the loan in Dubrovnik, in attendance of Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa.
DUBROVNIK, Jan 30 (Hina) - An Austrian bank on Tuesday granted a 50 million German marks loan to Croatia, assigned for reconstruction and preparation of the 1996 tourist season. Officials with the Austria's Raiffeisenbank and Croatian Bank for Reconstruction signed a contract on the loan in Dubrovnik, in attendance of Croatian Prime Minister Zlatko Matesa. #L# The contract was signed by managers of the Raiffeisenbank, Boris Zenic and Herbert Stepich, and on behalf of the Croatian Bank for Reconstruction, by its manager Anton Kovacev. The loan was to be repaid in three installments within a 18- month time, beginning from Sept 15, 1996. The Raiffeisenbank was the first foreign bank to start business in Croatia, late in 1994.
