BUDAPEST, Jan 20 (Hina) - The assembly of the Croatian minority in
Hungary held the first annual session on Saturday in Budapest.
The assembly discussed the education in the Croatian language,
the position of the Croatian theatre in Pecs and other Croatian
cultural institutions in Hungary.
The assembly emphasized that the building of new primary and
high schools in Budapest would be an incentive to the development
of the education in Croatian.
It also discussed the media in Croatian in this country, and
concluded that the Croatian minority should begin to publish a
weekly.
The assembly discussed how Croatians could be represented at
the Hungarian Parliament, and said that this issue should be
settled in cooperation with other minorities in order that
Croatians may have their representative at the Hungarian
