SARAJEVO, Jan 10 (Hina) - The Bosnian Federation's Constituent
Assembly adopted an Internal Affairs Act without debate on
Wednesday.
At the proposal of Defence Minister Jadranko Prlic, a new
deadline was set to draft certain controversial provisions of the
Defence Bill.
A special commission of five Moslem and five Croat deputies
was set up to regulate the issue of the conscripts' right to choose
whether they want to serve in the Bosnian army or the Croatian
Defence Council (HVO), which form the armed forces of the Bosnian
Federation.
The commission would be chaired by the US State Deparment's
special representative for the Federation, Daniel Server.
The text of the Defence Bill was expected to be prepared for
adoption by January 30 when the Constituent Assembly was due to
hold its next session.
