SARAJEVO, Jan 22 (Hina) - Sarajevo Mayor Tarik Kupusovic spoke at
today's press conference about yesterday's meeting between Sarajevo
municipal representatives and Bosnian Serb representatives from the
suburb of Ilidza.
Yesterday's meeting was the first meeting between
representatives of legal municipal bodies and the Serb officials
from Ilidza. The meeting focused on the implementation of the
Dayton agreement, the return of displaced persons and the decision
by the Ilidza Serbs to leave the suburb in great numbers.
'The Serb delegation has informed us that the Serbs had
demanded to be relocated from Ilidza to the area of Bijeljina and
Foca. Obviously, they have given up the idea, because there is no
more room in those two cities. The Serbs have decided to remain
where they are, but they want amnesty in case they stay in Ilidza',
Mayor Kupusovic said.
