Croatian and Belgian ports are connected by river transport
via the Rhine, the Main, the Main - Danube channel, the Danube and
the Drava, the letter said.
In the letter, Glavas expressed his conviction that talks on
technicalities should be started as soon as possible. He conveyed
his readiness to help begin the implementation of U.N Security
Council's Resolution 1037.
Glavas also added that 13 kms of the Drava riverbed (from
Osijek to Aljmas) should be cleared of mines before transport
began. He expressed his trust that Implementation Force troops
would participate in the operation.
