ZAGREB, Jan 17 (Hina) - The Thursday edition of the Zagreb-based
daily VJESNIK runs a front-page article on Bulgarian President
Zhelyu Zhelev's visit to Croatia.
The article, headlined "Agreement on Friendship and
Cooperation Signed", quoted Zhelev as recalling that Bulgaria was
among the first countries to recognize Croatia as an independent
state.
Vjesnik covers the House of Representatatives session under
the headlines "Government Not Responsible for Damage Caused by

"A Slap to Normalization in Mostar" is the headline of a
Vjesnik commentary on recent accusations of Croatian policy and

Another Zagreb daily, VECERNJI LIST, runs a front-page
headline on the arrival of the Bulgarian president for a three-day

outside the Presidential Palace in Zagreb.

of Vecernji List's coverage of the government session.
