ZAGREB, Jan 16 (Hina) - Members of the Committee for Foreign Policy

for Borders in the Government, Hrvoje Kacic. Kacic spoke about
border questions between Croatia and neighbouring countries. #L#
The land border to Slovenia had still not been defined, but
that issue should not cause greater difficulties, Kacic said,
stressing that the main problem was the sea border between Croatia
and Slovenia.
'Solutions are possible, but they are being formally
prevented. When we discuss the Piran Bay, then we find Slovene
views unacceptable and rather insulting', Kacic said.
Commenting on the issue of the Prevlaka peninsula, Kacic
stressed that Croatia's sovereignty in that region could not be
called into question, adding that the sea border between Croatia
and Montenegro had never been defined.
'It is inappropriate to talk about the Bosnian Serb entity
gaining access to the sea and there can be no discussion about
territorial exchange', Kacic stressed.
There were no greater difficulties in the definition of
borderlines with Hungary and Bosnia-Herzegovina, Kacic said, adding
that a joint Croat-Bosniac commission had been established with a
task to organise a temporary use of Bihac airport.
Zdravko Tomac (The Social-Democratic Party) supported Kacic's
report, stressing that 'one must not allow any precedents or accept
changes of Croatian borders'.
