VJEKOSLAV TOMASIC - NEW PRESIDENT OF ZAGREB CHAMBER

ZAGREB, Jan 15 (Hina) - Heads of the leading Zagreb companies elected the new Economic Council of the Zagreb Chamber of Commerce at a session held today. The Economic Council has 36 members from the most developed economic branches in Zagreb, ranging from engineering industry, power industry and finance to food industry and tourism. Today's first session of the Economic Council also elected Vjekoslav Tomasic for the post of the new President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce (HGK) - Zagreb Chamber. Tomasic is also the President of the Zagreb Chamber Economic Council. #L# The election of the new president and members of the Economic Council was also attended by the President of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce, Nadan Vidosevic, and former President of the Zagreb Chamber of Commerce, Emanuel Justament. The newly-elected President of the Zagreb Chamber, Vjekoslav Tomasic, said he believed in economic ambitions and potentials of the city of Zagreb, stressing that the Zagreb Chamber together with HGK would continue to cooperate with foreign economic chambers, as well as with the Zagreb City Assembly and municipal leadership. Vjekoslav Tomasic was formerly director of the HGK Department for Foreign Relations and member of the HGK Managing Board. The director of 'Generalturist', Maja Erceg, was elected Tomasic's deputy.
