ELECTION RESULTS FOR MOSTAR NOT TECHNICALLY VALIDATED 7

7 ( Vidi vijest: 4970 ) MOSTAR, Oct 22 (Hina) - A member of the Provisional Electoral Commission for Bosnia-Herzegovina, Mirko Boskovic, told the Croat Radio Herzeg-Bosnia on Wednesday that Tuesday's report of the regional OSCE office in Mostar, according to which the Coalition for a Unified Bosnia headed by the Social Democratic Action (SDA) had won 15 seats in the town council while the Bosnian Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party had won nine, had surprised many members of the Provisional Electoral Commission, as well as its chairman Ambassador Robert Frowick. "The ratio of 15:9 councilors in the town council had neither been technically verified, nor discussed at the Provisional Electoral Commission session," Boskovic said, adding that representatives of the Bosnian HDZ, Coalition for a Unified Bosnia and OSCE experts for election results were scheduled for a meeting on Wednesday afternoon to "precisely analyze electoral results based on the number of votes won". Mostar Deputy Mayor Safet Orucevic said in a statement that at the local September elections in Mostar "there are no winners and losers. The statute of the town of Mostar and the Mostar Amendment are a guarantee of equality and protection of interests of every people, so the results of the elections, notwithstanding which side won, cannot influence vital interests of the peoples," "If Zagreb's attitude towards the reintegration of Mostar remains constructive, this town has a chance to cease being a crisis point and become an example for the Bosnian Federation, to the satisfaction of both the Croat and Bosniac peoples," Orucevic said.
