The HDZ has achieved better election results than in 1990 in
three towns - Sarajevo, Zenica and Tuzla, which, according to the
local HDZ organisations, is beyond all pre-election expectations.
The HDZ organisations in Novi Travnik and Vares hope to win
the elections after ballots cast in foreign countries and those cast
in absence are counted.
HDZ officials stressed satisfaction with the turnout of
Croats, Bosniacs and Serbs in Travnik, Uskoplje, Fojnica and other
municipalities of Central Bosnia and Zenica-Doboj cantons.
The HDZ won the same or larger number of votes than in the
1990 elections in the three above mentioned municipalities.
The election results in Bugojno were somewhat less good
compared to the 1990 elections due to ballots manipulation and the
prevention of registering of exiled Bugojno Croats, Bugojno HDZ
officials said.
