The author of the exhibition, the president of the Austrian-
Croatian Society, Marijan Brajinovic, said that the exhibits, which
speak about the life and work of Croats who left a deep mark in
Austria's political and social life, bore witness to historical ties
between Croatia and Austria.
A university professor, Arnold Suppan, the head of the
Austrian Institute for East and South Europe, spoke about the
centuries-long bond between Croatia and Austria, which left positive
traces in the spiritual development of both nations. He also
recalled the arrival of Burgenland Croats to Austria 470 years ago
and the preservation of their national identity.
