NASICE/MARKOVAC, Oct 5 (Hina) - "Days of Slovakian Culture of
Slovaks in Croatia" began on Saturday in the towns of Nasice and
Markovac, eastern Croatia, under the auspices of the Croatian
Ministry of Culture and Croatian parliament vice president
Vladimir Seks, and in the organization of the Slovakian Cultural
Society in Croatia.
The present were addressed by the president of the
Slovakian Cultural Society in Croatia, Josip Kvasnovski, and
Nasice Mayor Ivan Balta.
Speeches on the occasion of the society's five-year
activity were made by Seks, Slovakian Ambassador to Croatia Matus
Kucera, the president of the Slovakian Cultural Society Jozef
Markus, Croatian Culture Minister envoy Sanja Raca and Svetopluk
Zeman on behalf of the Slovakian Ministry of Culture. They all
pointed out Slovaks in Croatia were the bridge connecting the two
countries in mutual cooperation and friendly relations.
An exhibition entitled "Slovakian Architecture in Croatia"
opened in Nasice.
