Mostar police are controlling the situation completely. The
area around the explosion site has been sealed off for traffic
and the number of Stabilisation Force patrols has increased.
The police carried out an on-the-spot investigation
yesterday.
The explosion injured several dozen people and caused
extensive material damage.
Although Canton police claim that there are reliable data
as to the identity of the perpetrators, their names have still
not been published for the sake of the final results of the
investigation.
Canton Interior Minister Valentin Coric said that the bomb
had been planted by top professionals.
The 30-kg explosive device was planted in a black 'golf'
with still unidentified licence plates.
Two floors of the building in front which the explosion
happened are destroyed and 120 flats and cars parked nearby were
destroyed as well.
Considerable material damage was done to the building which
houses police administration offices.
Canton Interior Ministry denied information published by a
local Bosniac TV station in eastern Mostar that a curfew had been
imposed in western part of the town.
