ZAGREB, Sept 16 (Hina) - A technical mission of the International
Monetary Fund (IMF) headed by Warren Coats on Tuesday completed a
two-week mission in Croatia, the Croatian National Bank said in a
statement.
After numerous discussions, the IMF delegation acquainted
representatives of the Croatian National Bank, the Croatian
Finance Ministry, the Agency for the Financial Reorganization of
Banks and the Insurance of Savings Deposits, and the Croatian
Parliament's Budget and Finances Board, with their view of a
possible strategy for the development of Croatia's banking system
and the extension of legislation for a steadier and healthier
development of Croatia's business banking.
The proposed views will be discussed by competent Croatian
institutions, in order to find solutions which, based on
international practice and standards, would facilitate national
decisions on choosing methods to develop banking.
