BEIJING, Sept 9 (Hina) - The 19th international advanced training
course for police forces held in Beijing, at which a Croatian
delegation also took part, ended on Tuesday. The Croatian delegation
included the Interior Minister's chief-of-staff, Zdravko Zidovec,
and the head of the Interior Ministry's foreign affairs office,
Josip Besic.
The course, attended by more than 300 high police officials
and scientific experts from 70 countries, focused on the
organization of police forces in fighting various aspects of
organized crime.
During its stay in China, the Croatian delegation held many
bilateral meetings, with representatives of Asian countries in
particular. A police cooperation was thus agreed with Malaysia, in
line with the country's current relations with Croatia.
The Croatian delegation also held talks with partners in
Beijing and Shanghai, which focused on the compliance with certain
provisions from an existing agreement on cooperation between the
Croatian Interior Ministry and the Chinese Public Security Ministry.
