SARAJEVO, 25 July (Hina) - Early Friday morning, unidentified persons threw an
incendiary bomb on an international Monitoring Mission vehicle in Vlasenica, a +
town in
eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina in the Bosnian Serb entity. #L#
Stabilisation Force (SFOR) spokesman in Sarajevo, John Blakely, stated today
that preliminary information showed that a Molotov cocktail had been thrown at +
the
vehicle, burning down one side of it. There were no casualties, Blakely said, +
adding
that the local Serb police, SFOR and International Police Task Force (IPTF)
representatives immediately conducted an on-the-spot investigation.
Today's incident continues a series of attacks on international +
representatives
and their vehicles on the Bosnian Serb territory, which started after the +
recent
apprehension of war crimes suspects in Prijedor.
Six SFOR members received injuries in Mostar area and near Sipovo but they
were not the victims of attacks. According to Blakely, four British soldiers +
were injured
in a truck accident when two SFOR trucks collided near Sipovo, western Bosnia.
Another two French soldiers received injuries in an incident that occurred in +
south-
eastern Bosnia-Herzegovina. The circumstances of that incident have not been
specified.
