MOSTAR, Aug 20 (Hina) - While supervising a visit of a group of
Bosniaks (Muslims) to Croat-controlled Capljina (southern Bosnia-
Herzegovina) on Tuesday afternoon, soldiers of the Stabilization
Force prevented five unknown persons from attacking a Bosniak, the
information office of SFOR's multinational division sector south-
east said in a statement on Wednesday.
At the end of the visit, the statement said, three Bosniaks
headed for a bus to take them back to Mostar, when five men who
stepped out of a while car approached them and tried to force one
Bosniak to get into their car.
A patrolling member of SFOR's military police heard several
cries for help and intervened, the statement said.
Later, the five unidentified men threw stones at the bus
smashing several windows in the process. Members of the
Stabilization Force safeguarded the bus to Mostar in order to ensure
that the group of Bosniaks reach their destination untroubled, the
statement concluded.
