BUGOJNO, Aug 19 (Hina) - A meeting between representatives of
Croats and Bosniaks (Muslims) scheduled for Monday to discuss the
organization of police in the central Bosnian town of Bugojno has
been postponed due to the non-appearance of Bosniak
representatives. The deadline for the organization of a joint
police expires on 30 August.
Croat representatives, a representative of the
International Police Task Force and only two Bosniaks showed up
for the meeting. The president of Bugojno's Party of Democratic
Action, Djevad Mlaco, and the Muslim police representative did
not appear.
The present members of the Bosniak delegation said they
dealt with politics, and not police, and were therefore
unauthorized to discuss the organization of a joint police in
Bugojno.
The Croat representatives arrived at the meeting with a
finished proposal for the joint police and the appointment of top
offices.
