NOVI TRAVNIK, 25 July (Hina) - The Central Committee of the Croatian Democratic
Union (HDZ) in Bosnia-Herzegovina adopted a Statement on the situation in +
Bosnia-
Herzegovina and the tasks of the HDZ of Bosnia-Herzegovina at a session held +
Friday
in Novi Travnik, central Bosnia. #L#
In his introductory speech, the president of the HDZ of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Bozo Rajic, analysed the situation in the country after the signing of the +
Dayton and
Washington agreements. Rajic concluded that Republika Srpska was openly
supporting the idea of its independence while the Bosniac side was using the
Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina only as a means of creating a 'civil' state, +
in which
Bosniacs would soon take over complete control.
On the other hand, the Croats had dissolved the bodies of authority of the +
Croat
Republic of Herzeg-Bosnia and they expected an objective and more critical +
approach
of the international community towards the participants in the Bosnia peace +
process
and their real contribution to the implementation of the Dayton and Washington
agreements, he said.
In its Statement, the HDZ supports immediate and complete formation of
ancillary bodies of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia-Herzegovina, the +
dissolution of
the Bosniac secret police AID, the reorganisation and employment of new +
officials in
diplomatic and consular services and the establishment of a tripartite model of
cooperation between Bosnia-Herzegovina and the Hague Tribunal.
The Statement welcomes the Brussels donors' conference and asks that the
financial aid be allocated to those who can prove that they are implementing +
the peace
agreement, and that the aid be allocated in a more balanced way to all sides +
and
areas in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
The statement also demands the reorganisation of Sarajevo Radio and
Television in line with the constituent character of all three peoples, their +
relations and
interests in information activities.
Speaking about the implementation of Annex 7 of the Dayton agreement, Rajic
warned that the agreement was the backbone of both the Federation project and +
the
project of Bosnia-Herzegovina.
He added that the pressure exerted by the Bosniac and Serb refugees, but not
the Croat refugees, was aimed at legalising the results of ethnic cleansing, +
especially
in central Bosnia.
The Statement condemns all war crimes and their perpetrators, and adds that to
date not one person has been indicted for war crimes committed against the +
Croat
people in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
Expressing concern over the 'election engineering' in the preparations for the
September municipal elections, Rajic said that the Central Committee of the HDZ+
had
authorised its Presidency to partly or completely boycott the elections if the +
results of
the 'election engineering' were not annulled.
At the end of today's session, the HDZ Central Committee appointed an election
headquarters, which will be headed by Jadranko Prlic.
