SARAJEVO, June 30 (Hina) - The Sarajevo daily "Dnevni Avaz", close to
the ruling Democratic Action Party (SDA), on Monday ran a statement from
the cabinet of the President of the Presidency of Bosnia-Herzegovina,
Alija Izetbegovic, about the cancelled meeting between Izetbegovic and
Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, scheduled for 30 July in Split.
The cabinet held the Croatian side responsible for "still not being
ready to implement anything of the recently agreed, nor to accept a
serious discussion aimed at solving many issues which have remained open
between the two countries for a long time".
The statement cited as the main problem the establishment of the
joint police in the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, which should be
completed by 5 July.
Saying that they were prepared to continue talks, Izetbegovic's
cabinet said in the statement that the deadline had not yet expired, and
it still could be met, with some good will.
