HDZ PRESIDENCY HOLDS SESSION

ZAGREB, June 26 (Hina) - The presidency of the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) party convened in Zagreb on Thursday under the chairmanship of President Franjo Tudjman. The session focused on the progress of the peaceful reintegration of the UN-administered Danube region of eastern Croatia and time limits for the completion of the UNTAES mandate, the HDZ said in a statement. It was concluded that the process of establishing all Croatian state institutions and local government bodies in the region should be intensified to a maximum degree. It was also concluded that all necessary conditions should be created for the return of all displaced persons to the region as soon as possible.
