BELGRADE, July 24 (Hina) - Croatian Ambassador to Yugoslavia, Zvonimir Markovic, on Thursday expressed concern to the Assistant Yugoslav Foreign Minister, Dragomir Vucicevic, about the recent incidents in Zemun (a town on the
outskirts of Belgrade), the Croatian Embassy in Belgrade said in a statement.

Belgrade),

Markovic warned about the stealing of a passport of a member of the Barbaric
family, the beating up of Mr. Barovic who represents this Croat family which +
had been
illegally evicted from their apartment, and the upsetting of a Croat funeral in+
Zemun.
Markovic stressed that the frequency of the incidents proved that they were +
not
sporadic cases, but thought-out politics which could jeopardise relations +
between
Yugoslavia and Croatia which were developing in a good atmosphere.
Markovic expressed regret that there was no official reaction to the incidents.
Vucicevic condemned the acts and said they were of a limited character, and
that they should not influence the development of relations between the two +
countries.
He added that his country condemned any physical and verbal violence, holding
it unacceptable.
