Spokesman for the Organisation for Security and cooperation in
Europe (OSCE), David Foley, confirmed in Sarajevo on Tuesday that
Karadzic had tried to trick his way into registering for the elections.
The OSCE headquarters were informed on Saturday that a sick person
accommodated at the invalids' home in Pale wanted to register, so a
woman supervisor was sent to the location. On arriving in Pale, she
directly encountered Karadzic.
She had wisely decided to take his registration form and had
immediately left the place, Foley said. He added that OSCE supervisors
had not had orders to call the Stabilisation Force nor the International
Police Task Force in case of encountering a war crimes suspect indicted
by the International Criminal Tribunal.
