The storm caused damage to crops, primarily to tobacco, and houses
and vehicles were damaged in areas where the hail was particularly
intense.
Head of the radar centre for the Virovitica-Pordavina County,
Velimir Osman, said that protection measures against hail had been taken
as much as possible, adding that 398 rockets had been launched from 32
rocket-launching pads and 60 generator-powered launching stations had
been operational.
