ZAGREB, June 5 (Hina) - Croatian President Franjo Tudjman, on Thursday
received Ukrainian Foreign Minister Genadi Udovenko, the President's
Office said in a statement.
Minister Udovenko and Croatian Foreign Minister Mate Granic
notified President Tudjman of promotion of relations between Croatia and
Ukraine and told him that an agreement on friendship and cooperation
would be soon signed between the two countries.
President Tudjman pointed out historical ties between Croatia and
Ukraine and the fact that all conditions for the furtherance of overall
cooperation were created after the two countries had regained their
independence.
Present at the meeting were President's foreign affairs advisor,
Zeljko Matic, the President's cabinet's head, Gordan Radin and Croatian
Ambassador to Ukraine, Djuro Vidmarovic.
