CROATIA BECOMES FOUNDER OF "ATHLETES AGAINST DRUGS" INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION

ASSOCIATION ZAGREB, June 2 (Hina) - Croatia received the status of founder of the "Athletes Against Drugs" International Association at the Association's founding session held in Madrid on 31 May. In attendance were envoys from 22 countries from four continents. "To receive the status of founder-country is a big recognition for Croatia", said Slobodan Rendic, the envoy of the Croatian Olympic Committee, who took part in the founding session. "Croatia has already been included in the "Athletes Against Drugs" action, but has, by signing this declaration, undertaken the responsibility to found a national 'athletes against drugs' association", said Rendic, who is one of Croatia's most known experts for doping-control.
