SARAJEVO, Jan 6 (Hina) - Tensions between local Moslem population
and Serb police again erupted in the Dugi Dio village in northern
Bosnia, the UN in Sarajevo said on Monday.
Several explosions and bursts of gunfire were recorded on
Friday night, but there was no damage, spokesman Alexander Ivanko
said.
International police and SFOR intensified patrol activity to
prevent further outbursts, Ivanko said.
The situation has been volatile since the return of expelled
Moslems to Dugi Dio and two other villages in the Serb-controlled
area three months ago, with Moslem residents complaining of
harassment by Serb police.
