KOSOVO ALBANIAN OFFICIAL CALLS FOR UNITY OF ALBANIAN FORCES

PRISTINA, Dec 29 (Hina) - The Serbian regime is the main generator of all evils in Kosovo and the region, but responsibility also rests with the Albanians themselves, a spokesman for the United Democratic Movement, a union of six Kosovo Albanian parties, said on Tuesday. In an interview with today's issue of the "Koha Ditore" daily in Albanian, Hydajet Hyseni said that the "militaristic regime in Belgrade is undoubtedly the source and the main generator of all evils in Kosovo" and the region. Hyseni also condemns the inadequate and indecisive attitude of some international factors, as well as of Albanian politicians, who in many aspects "have jeopardised Kosovo's interests". Some political circles in the province, gathered in one part of the Kosovo Democratic Alliance and around its leader Ibrahim Rugova, are consciously or unconsciously obstructing the establishment of vital unity of the Kosovo Albanian national movement, Hyseni estimated. It is high time to form a single body which would include representatives of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Kosovo Democratic Alliance and the Students' Movement, Hyseni concluded. (hina) rml
