GOTOVAC SPEAKS OF 'OPPOSITION SIX' FUTURE ACTIVITIES

ZAGREB, Dec 17 (Hina) - Representatives of six Opposition parties decided on Thursday they no longer had a spokesperson, the last in the series of the Oposition's spokesmen Vlado Gotovac, told reporters on Thursday. The Social democratic Party (SDP), the Croatian Peasants' Party (HSS), the Croatian Social Liberal Party (HSLS), the Liberal Party (LS), the Istrian Democratic Assembly (IDS), and the Croatian People's Party (HNS), which comprise the Opposition Six, decided either to hold a press conference, or to issue a public statement after each session, Gotovac said. It was also decided that the Opposition Six will hold regular monthly sessions. If any of the Opposition members believed it was necessary to hold an additional session, it would be decided upon by a concensus of all members. Gotovac said that a meeting on the level of the bench presidents of the Opposition parties and the ruling Croatian Democratic Union (HDZ) is to take place on Tuesday. "We gave instructions for the meeting to our bench presidents", Gotovac said. As it was previously announced the bench presidents should discuss changes to the electoral law and a possibility of a discussion in Sabor on the role and activities of intelligence services.
